I use Trend Micro. I've not had it interrupt my tcp-ip programming (web
access via winsock or xmlhttp) where I have had AVG do that. I'm the only
Vista user in the office using Trend Micro, and the only one that can
transfer a file from the Network to my local machine in seconds instead of
minutes.

We've just brought a Vista machine in-house for testing our vertical niche
VFP product. What's the recommendation for a reliable Anti-Virus. Used
Norton and Symantec in the distant past and been burned by excessive CPU
usage, program interference and impossible to remove. I've used AVG a while
ago on XP, but I don't run any Windows machines currently. What are folks
using these days? Recommendations pro and con appreciated.
