Of course of these people in the passionate group, there will not be 100% agreement on what is "best". At some time or another there will be heated debate and situations where it is not possible for all parties to have their ideal version of amateur radio. IF there is a need for change perhaps an acceptable compromise can be reached.

But, neither being passionate or devil-may-care can really explain the lack of simple reading skills.
