Gee Thom, I didn't understand your message. It was far to subtle for me. Does "well-meaning member of QRP-L" and/or "well-meaning guy" translate to "mindless asshole spouting drivel?"
Then it might be clearer.
Or is it one of your typical hams who just sorta reads it, gets the wrong opinion and then goes off half-cocked spouting off on what they think you said?
Seems to happen a lot where "they" don't read the whole message!
Most likely you're correct....hard to believe so many folks can be so sloppy
in reading/thinking skills....but then again, the last time I taught I had
a class of 15 students in remedial math...and ALL of them had IEP(Individual
Educationsla Plans) that prescribed that that could only do math with a calculator!
Their reading/logic skills were a bit off...I used to go to the classroom door and measure from one side to the other...and write on the blackboard Height 36 inches Then, I'd measure from top to bottom and write on the blackboard Width 82 inches
Then, we would load all of them up in the bus and go to Home Depot, and the class exercise was to get prices of doors that matched our dimensions.
Maybe some of my students are now members of QRP-L
