Larry,

How are you doing with the shoulder?

Yes, I went through the same and the first time I really had a problem
driving
was after making a left turn, then not being able to turn the wheel as my
shoulder locked.

I spent a lot of my life in a manual wheelchair (C5-6) and ruined my
shoulders because
of it. Hindsight is 20/20 and for the life of me, can't understand why
people stay in a manual chair.
I was always told that it will keep your arms strong, but an electric chair
not only is easier on the shoulders,
it opened up my world for me.

I use the stretchie bands to exercise and in winter the extra insulated
underwear top and sweat shirt
brings the pain.  It takes about a month for my muscles to strenghten
and the pain to start to subside.

The Dr. said both rotator cups are shot and need surgery, but with little
heavy lifting above my shoulder
I can't justify it. I also have 2 torn tendons and he said if another one
goes my arm will be dead.

Here is my current crisis. My shoulder joints have become so sore I can't
sleep on them. Even worse, my right shoulder will lock when I'm trying to turn
the steering wheel. Not good, even a little bit. Anybody else have such a
problem? I'm getting afraid to drive.
