You answered my question with your first quote above, then go on to claim it's not necessary? Troubleshooting has everything to do with your ISP & Dynamic ISP, as well as you house. It's fairly straightforward to set up and utilize NO-IP.com to insure you always have the same IP address if you think that's the reason your alarms are not working.
