There was a huge article (many pages long) in Bicycling (ya, I know) that was the most in depth article I've seen about MIPS and gave a lot of the data gathered by the organization that has done the bulk of testing. MIPS is an attempt at a safety movement, not a marketing movement. I think it's amazing that most MIPS helmets are only $20 more than regular helmets.
