Correct.  SW has the heat, and at times has humidity.  But humidity is
relative.  What you do not have are the dew points - water saturated
air.  Southeast does.  Upper Midwest is having a banner year.  Sounds
as though the Northeast is getting some of it.

In the past, these high dew point days did not continue as long as
they have in recent years.  I just took a break when they happened.
Now I am doing as some of the others here suggest - gettng up real
early so I can ride when the temp is low enough.  The dew points are
still high, so I am still turning into a sweaty mess.  I have a club
membership in my work building.  I have not used the facility since
winter, but am now keeping my work clothes there and showering before
work.

There is a reason the Southeast did not see the big surge in commuter
population prior to air conditioning. Before that people took it easy
in the heat. Let's hope this is a temporary trend up North.  I can't
stand it.
