Moultons have an interesting and unusual feel, not like anything else I've ever ridden before. Handling is, in a word, zippy. As for efficiency, what Jan said about the New Series is true for the AMs as well: the suspension really kills hill climbing efficiency. Riding out of the saddle gives you the same sort of education re: smoothness as fixies are said to do with respect to round pedal stroke: thrash around on a Moulton and it will start bouncing around like a pogo stick in V-Fib.
