I think that's a different question than who was Rivendell in the '60s. Rivendell's are great frames (I have 3), but I'd say a Bruce Gordon or a Peter Weigle is a finer, USA-made lugged steel frame. A friend's father owned a Schwinn store in the '60s, and so my eyes turned towards the Paramount as the ultimate bike. In 1969, a fully equipped Paramount (touring or racing) cost $280. In comparison, a Continental cost $90. jim m wc ca -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
