Now, if Otto is good, he modifies the short assembler code of stage1 and inserts a debug string to confirm that stage1 fails at the end of copy_buffer where it executes the loaded stage2. Stage1 starts with "GRUB " and certain error conditions given, it prints only a very few and short error messages. If it doesn't print an error message, it has loaded and jumped into stage2 either with LBA or CHS geometry. - -- -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQE/Lq5v0iMVcrivHFQRAsPxAJ94QxAvwlpOroJYuH3yDyYYmY9DnQCfY5pk q4cACFIXuiDiY8ICk9qZrZA= =8V5w -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- redhat-list mailing list unsubscribe mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/redhat-list
