Seeing how this list is going so slow and people are actually complaining
about it. =) I'll throw one in (though sort of off topic).

We (should have been me) bought a new modem for our pool. It's a Motorola
ModemSURFR external 56K. I noticed on another list (also the redhat web
page), that the internal version of this modem doesn't work with linux.

Anybody with experience with the external one? I haven't been able to get
it going, and as far as I'm concerned, if an external modem doesn't work
'practically' right out of the box, it's a piece of junk.

Another question. We have been using USR Sporster 28.8/33.6's (non x2) for
ages and every once in awhile one of them dies (sort of), it will no longer
work in linux, but works fine in win95. Anyone know what is going here?

Thanks.

Dan
