I don't have much classical either, but where I have ripped them, I have used
BAND/ORCHESTRA to hold the orchestra name.

I also use BAND for alias names in popular music, instead on ALBUM ARTIST,
leaving ALBUM ARTIST for its intended purpose.

For example, there is a band that was originally known as "A Silver Mt. Zion".
On subsequent albums, they changed their name subtley. eg. "Thee Silver Mt.
Zion" and "A Silver Mt. Zion and Tra-La Band". I wanted all albums by
effectively the same artist to be linked together, but still report the
official artist name, as it is declared on the CD's.

i.e. I tag with ARTIST="Thee Silver Mt. Zion" and BAND="A Silver Mt. Zion".

Then I can browse to either the artist or the band in the Browse Artists list.

I have quite a few cases like this, and it works well in SBS.

For example, albums by "Page & Plant", and "Coverdale & Page". I tag these
with:
ARTIST="Jimmy Page;Robert Plant", BAND="Page & Plant".
ARTIST="David Coverdale;Jimmy Page", BAND="Coverdale & Page".

When I Browse Artists, I can find the albums under either the Band or any of
the Artists. I can decide whether to show the Artist(s) or the Band name in
the Now Playing screen too. Quite versatile.

Whereas Album Artist I ONLY use if tracks on an album have differing artist
names, and need to be grouped under one artist name to avoid becoming a
compilation. i.e. I have a song by "Thee Silver Mt. Zion", also known as the
band "A Silver Mt. Zion", that appears on a compilation album, thus the song
has an ARTIST tag, a BAND tag, COMPILATION tag and an ALBUM ARTIST="Various
Artists" tags.
