Time for a beer. This is making my head hurt. And to top it off, I just noticed that SbS is treating a FLAC double album of Harry Nilsson (Personal Best) as a COMPILATION. And there is no compilation tag, there is no ALBUM ARTIST (or AlbumArtist). The only thing I noticed is that one of the songs has two artists separated with semicolon (perfect day). I added Album Artist as Harry Nilsson to all the songs and now it is no longer treated as compilation.
I've checked some other albums with multiple artists on a track and sure enough, they are listed as compilations. I never would have thought that these would be treated as compilations by SbS because of that fact alone. Just when I had reached the conclusion that I should leave Album Artist blank unless I had a specific reason to use it (or wanted "various artists" listed for compilations) I now see that I need to always fill in album artist just in case I have a stray track with multiple artists listed. Mr. Sinatra, you've thought hard about all this compilation stuff.
