thanx for all the suggestions guys, i appreciate it - really i do. but that's not the point. i already fixed the cd in question with multiple fiddling with the tags and repeated re-scans and it only took 3 hours (!). the point is why? why could i pull up the EXACT SAME FILE in question and have it read perfectly fine by other (and i would guess less sophisticated) source like subsonic, bliss, etc and they can read the tags no problem? why is it so much damn effort to get tags straight on only my touch when i have zero problems with any other source out there that reads the exact same tags? i mean, if the tags are so screwed up that they need endless fooling with for squeezebox to correctly read them shouldn't they be screwed up in say winamp also?
