To have LMS use a delimiter it must be defined as the delimiter in
preferences.  From memory the default is ";".  I also prefer "\\". 
Changing the delimiter requires a rescan to have LMS detect the change.

If you load your library in puddletag and have timestamp preservation
turned on (which is a good idea unless you want old stuff with tagging
changes appear as new music) you can select all files you want to have
rescanned and hit Ctrl-M - this changes the timestamps of all selected
files by 2 seconds, thus triggering a rescan of those files when running
an update scan in LMS, without making old albums appear in your new
albums list.
