Alright, now it works as advertised. All I have to do is enter the "\\" by hand and erase the tags that my tagging software added on the sly (e.g. Album Artist or Band). I have to say it is extremely frustrating after painstakenly ripping and tagging a big library to find out that the software you used took it upon itself to add tags I never wanted.
Anyway, what's left for me to test is how this works for compilation albums. Hopefully I'll find some time over the weekend. Can anybody recommend a tagging software that allows me to create macros (batches) like MP3Tag but adds the "\\" correctly? I really don't want to do this by hand. Foobar, maybe?
