@JJZolx

Thank you again for your help. I really appreciate it! :D

Found it and it seems to work (at least MP3Tag is showing separate
fields).

Yes, I do almost the same. MP3Tag is also a great tool to remove special
characters from the file names. However, my other tagging software
(probably Media Monkey or EAC) added ALBUM ARTIST (while I only tag
ALBUMARTIST), so I got rid of the former. Should make no difference, I
hope.

And I do not tag ALBUMARTISTSORT. Is there an easy way to add it to a
large number of files? I always tag artists "naturally", i.e. firstname
lastname, e.g. Eric Clapton. Is there a action in MP3Tag that will
create an ALBUMARTISTSORT tag Clapton, Eric automatically?

Yes, that is exactly what I do, too. I like your taste in music, by the
way! :cool:

So far, I did not have a streamer that could handle the tag (used Sonos
until recently), so I just tagged these albums with
ALBUMARTIST=Compilation. I now added a a COMPILATION=1 field to the
files, as you suggested. Let's see what happens ...

After re-tagging my whole library, copying the files to my NAS will take
the whole night, so I'll have to wait until tomorrow until I can see the
results in action. However, here is one example of what a fairly typical
song-tagging now looks like in my library (tags depend heavily on genre
and recording-medium, though).
