So, I was about to suggest we make a test release. Since we haven't made one that uses only scons before, I thought we shouldn't actually publish the first attempt on SourceForge -- at least until we'd had a chance to sanity check it on this list.
However, on further reflection there are still a couple of quite serious bugs out there to do with recording segments and the like. Maybe another look at those would help. Or maybe they're now obscure enough (in that there are several bugs Guillaume doesn't seem to have been able to reliably reproduce) that more testers would actually be more helpful than more time.
