Authoring tools can easily do that routinely (and not just prior to publication). So, I’ll assume that MathML will be the “canonical” (sorry) RFCXML form. I still would like to point out that it is a good idea to be able to embed the source (likely Latex) into the RFCXML as well, if only for picking up a document after publication for doing a bis.
