I think we can do better than that. As I noted, the text version RFC 9438
isn't even accessible to me.
The current situation is untenable for accessibility because we render the math
*before* creating the XML.
Oh, definitely, we need to embed MathML (or maybe LaTeX) in the XML, then
let the RPC talk to people who know about math and accessibility to figure
out how to render it.
