It took several YEARS of one-on-one work by a friend of mine the get me into S. If I had never met him, I very likely would have remained in HO. And that's when S was on the up-tick with a new company called American Models. If S had remained in the "Scratchbuilders Scale Syndrome" (not that I have anything against scratchbuilding, Matt's recent 50 ton flat car is a wonder to behold...) I wouldn't have listened to him. And before some of you guys get on your scratchbulding high horse, yo need to see some of this fella's work: http://ogaugerr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3181048701/m/6092977817 http://ogaugerr.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/3181048701/m/5792935817 He normally cranks out cabooses the way I eat Cheetoes... So don't give me that old worn out "S is the scratchbuilders scale" line, it's not a line that works with the general public, modeling or otherwise. S Scale has always been a tough sale, even when AM, SHS and SSA were in full production. With their production suspended, it's a tougher sale even now.
