You could include commuter and Amtrak trains running with a rear engine and a leading cab car. Seems the only way to go is put "black Beetle?" units under the cars themselves.

The layout in Chicago that Kindraka mentioned, Winan's layout, Loizeaux's layout, perhaps Karnes' layout. Has anyone else attempted backing up long trains? The prototype does it all the time.
