Hi: I found out last year at a train display that I do for our local museum at Christmas that my trains were likely purchased from the local hardware store, which had only American Flyer. I knew that the owner of the store and my father had been friends. When the owners son showed up at the layout display and said that his father had sold American Flyer trains at Christmas, I finally realized that the hardware store is likely where my father bought my trains in 1959. I also found out that because his father sold American Flyer, the son still has some American Flyer trains from the 1930's.
