Thank you. This is good news.

I'll probably build a Sage package based on your first one, just for 
users of Solaris. So Solaris users can use a new ecl and a new Maxima - 
otherwise, Sage will not build at all on Solaris.

I believe today is the first time Sage has built with gcc 4.4.0, so 
hopefully I just need to build it on t2, and some people can have a go 
at debugging the bits I don't know how to do - like the notebook server.
