Follow-up Comment #4, bug #2168 (project savane):
Exceptions are supposed to be avoided at any cost.
The code is already plenty of stuff in order to deal with exceptions. In the
long run it is a real pain in the back. So for these exceptions, I'd say "too
bad, please try to get these to be non-exceptionnals, maybe create a group
type as workaround".
For instance, all www.gnu.org projects, or almost, will happen in a
subdirectory of www.gnu.org. Wasnt it flawed by design to have cvs path with
software/ for stuff that will never get into software/. I think so.
The viewcvs link is an extra-feature, not a must-have. For sites that have
many cases like that, I suggest to adapt the site specific content related to
CVS.
