Follow-up Comment #8, bug #2168 (project savane):
I think this change is causing more cons than pros. Another case where this
can be harmful is when the host accepts multiple URLs points for the webpages
(in addition to vhost hosting and special (non-root) entry point we already
mentioned).
I would rather be in favor of displaying the ViewCVS link independently of
the homepage link.
People should be able to desactivate the ViewCVS link (or maybe change it, as
you wrote). However, the ViewCVS links currently cannot be desactivated, be it
editable or not. Making it activable could come in handy in this case.
