Hendrik makes a very valid point, and one that pretty much applies to any used car purchased. That is, spend the money up front for the very best example you can find. You'll be better off than buying a fixer-upper or one that needs work, as it will most likely end up costing you more. BTDT myself. Dan Sent from my iPad On Aug 19, 2014, at 6:21 PM, Kaleb C. The lighter socket (IIRC) is limited to 150w. Directly wired to the battery would do 400w. With a motorcycle battery mine would run my 1/2hp sump pump up to 5 feet high which sadly isn't enough to get water out of my basement. I never retried with a bigger battery. So the way to do it would be to hardwire the inverter under the hood and run an orange extension cord up the rain gutter into the cabin to the crockpot. Federal Air Regulation #1: When the gross weight of the paper meets or exceeds the gross weight of the aircraft, FAA may grant approval. I note the pilot was age 46, which I take to mean he applied for approval to fly with the artificial limb at age 20, got approved at age 35, and could only fly with the one FAA [UK equivalent] approved artificial limb which was certified for flight, no substitute permitted. It had to be inspected pursuant to it's own overhaul manual and repair cycle by the one FAA approved and licensed shop which is now closed for FAA incident investigation. etc etc etc. I'm from the FAA, and I'm here to help you. There is an exception to that rule. If you to plan on a restoration, it pays to purchase a *running car* as cheaply as possible so you can take your time in making the most cost effective improvements at a leisurely pace.. This explains my 18 year enjoyment and simultaneous restoration of a 1970 280SE 3.5 coupe that had lots of issues, but I could at least drive it safely while fixing and restoring things. Re: [MBZ] Chowdah Q
Thats 20a, how well is the the 55a alt going to keep up? Well, 55A @ 12V is essentially 5.5A @ 120V, and that doesn't take into account losses, or he fact that the alternator is really at around 14V, etc. Better to work in Watts directly. Call it 750W total for the entire car plus accessories. -- Jim ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com All posts are the result of individual contributors and as such, those individuals are responsible for the content of the post.
