Qobuz API doc is here : https://github.com/Qobuz/api-documentation No, no recently played in their API... I understand the need. I don't use squeezebox, at home I still use my home brewed multi room music system, and I added a history... very useful. On one side : -I can understand Qobuz wants tu push people to get the 10 subscription instead of the 5. -I don't understand the pricing levelling from mp3 streaming @5, and the flac one 4 times more expensive... -... While for me, 20 for flac streaming is fine. on the other side, from the user point of view, I don't see why I would I pay more because I don't want to use a computer to play in the house music. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Ok, some news. Qobuz told me that they were originally using the URL base player.qobuz.com for some technical reason, but now they will abandon this URL. Eveyrthing will work on www.qobuz.com. This is documented on the API docs, but I didn't see it. Normally qobuz desktop should auto update and point to www.qobuz.com, but for some reason, it didn't on my test machine when I tried monday. So I - wrongly - concluded that the problem was on their server. So we fixed that quickly in the plugin, that's easy. The trick is about github, where we store the plugin source, and also the plugin. I originally posted builds and repo.xml on my personal website. (http://www.pierrebeck.fr/SqueezeboxQobuz/repo.xml) Since 2012-11-13, in the post #53, we moved to github. (cloud.github.com/downloads) Now github removed a functionality, and we can't update repo.xml or add new builds. We have to move the builds in an other place. In the mean time, some people are still getting repo.xml from my website, where it's still pointing to version 1.60. So we decided to move back to my website, so that people who stayed on the old 1.60 will get the update. Others who were using github URL will have to configure their squeezebox server to use the original URL. In short, if you stayed on http://www.pierrebeck.fr/SqueezeboxQobuz/repo.xml, do nothing, you'll get v1.82. if you stayed on cloud.github.com/downloads... Please update repo.xml URL to http://www.pierrebeck.fr/SqueezeboxQobuz/repo.xml on your squeezebox server config page (plugins tab). There is nothing else to do. if you downloaded manually the plugin, please download the last version (today v1.82) here http://www.pierrebeck.fr/SqueezeboxQobuz/ Post #10 is up to date, and will always be the reference. Sorry for the confusion... pierrepoulpe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi everybody. I'm not personally using squeezeboxqobuz plugin, but a home brewed music server, with the qobuz API implemented in python. I have issues from friday. Error 404, randomly. So the problem is a change on qobuz side. I'll try to investigate that tonight, maybe I(we) didn't respect something in the API spec, or they change something in the API without documenting it. Am I missing something in settings? Thank you, again. Hello d'ovada, How did you set up the plugin? repo.xml, or zip download and unzip? If latter, which version did you get? Which squeezebox are you using? Did you try with the album I used for the screenshots, just to try? Finally, if you download the version 1 (which has no tags image support), and after set up the repo.xml URL, hoping it'll update the plugin... it would explain. It need confirmation, but manually unzipped plugin is not updated with repo.xml. You have to delete Qobuz folder in plugins, and then set repo.xml. pierrepoulpe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I don't have a subscription at Qobuz yet, but I'll reconsider... Did you use the repo.xml? I didn't updated correctly until now. You should retry to ... reboot the radio? force an update somewhere? If you updated correctly, you should see cover, artist name, and album name during playing. pierrepoulpe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

by the way, for non french speakers, if you want to evaluate qobuz catalog, you can subscribe mp3/320 streaming only, for 7 per month : http://www.qobuz.com/abonnement/streaming-basic-mensuel or mp3 streaming + android/ios offline reading (useless in our case) for 10/month with the second month for free. pierrepoulpe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Hello, I'm developing a plugin for qobuz.com music site. This site offers both music buying (mp3, lossless 16/44.1, and for some albums higher res), and streaming in mp3 320 (for the same price than spotify) AND it become interesting streaming in lossless 16/44.1 (flac)! Currently, the site is targeting french-speaking european countries. But they have plan on the mid-term to open to other countries. I never tried to connect from outside france-belgium-switzerland, so I don't know if they really filter on the ip. The remaining limitation is that the site is not translated in English, but with a squeezebox plug-in, it's half a problem. The plugin is in development, but there is no such work, and I plan to publish here a working version this week. The trick is that I don't own personally a squeezebox, so I develop with softsqueeze... I need that interested people, who own a squeezebox, and have a streaming subscription at qobuz.com, test the plugin, and post here their feedback, missing functionalities etc... pierrepoulpe's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=58007 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=97146 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

pippin wrote: Good idea. If I were you, I would test with SqueezePlay instead if SoftSqueeze. If it works with that, it will likely also work with the SB. That's especially true for menus! I'm in a strange situation. I don't own any squeezebox hardware, so I discover this world... I have difficulties to find documentation, to understand what are real evolutions (squeezebox classic - squeezebox touch), and what is just renaming (squeezecenter - squeezeboxserver), what does mean all the acronyms (SBT, SC, SN...), and finding documentation is a pain, guessing what is outdated, what is up to date, etc On the other hand, writing perl for the plugin is not an issue for me, nor qobuz API for which I already developed for my own multiroom system. Could you give some pointers, to docs? I finally found where to download squeezeplay, I ran it. And I'm lost, plugins don't appear? Plugin dev page on the wiki don't talk at all about the difference with squeezebox touch... I don't know what I have to add to the plugin to make it visible to squeeze box touch... Do I need to program two separate plugins? Do lua applets replace the plugins? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin
Thanks pippin. Michael gave me an example that was easier to modify than the spotify one. Now I have a working plugin on squeezeplay : I can search, it displays all the albums, and I can stream in flac.
