I'm too young for them - only know one of their songs - I Like A Man In

Just to clarify for Michael.
Yorkshire is a county.
Leeds and Sheffield are cities in Yorkshire.
And NoW are from Leeds - in fact George used to DJ at Leeds Warehouse, where
'LFO' was 'christened' I guess.

Idly browsing discogs I notice that Cyrus is credited for remixes of a pile
of non-baisc channel records.
Remixes by Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus appear to be uncommon and
some of these: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Cyrus
appear in somewhat dodgy context: 'Creamfields' double cd is bad
Surely this is simply a case of there being another (trance) artist calling
themselves Cyrus, but not getting added as a separate artist on Discogs'
database...

Discogs is sh!t and there's loads of inaccuracies.
It's far more plausible that Discogs f***ed up, than BC having a trance record
out.

incorrect information on discogs? Not unheard of ...
they tend to get smaller artists with the same/similar names
confused with the more popular ones. for example, on dan
bell's DBX page you can
Detroit imports 3 Chairs destroyed Smartbar on saturday. Got there I
guess after midnight and Theo Parrish was playing when i got there
really pounding disco and jack-y raw classic chicago trax and heavy
percussive disco and as usual EQ boosting and killing every track to

Interesting. KDJ did a Prince Party at OSLO (Detroit) last weekend. He put
up a translucent screen in front of the booth to obscure his identity. The
set was excellent. Most memorable was the a very long edit of JAN with a
much longer excerpt of the Prince/Mojo interview. Great night.
This
i saw them the last time they were at smartbar (about a year ago). great
night, great crowd. My only complaint was that Theo was WAAAY to harsh on
the hi-end. i mean, I've seen theo play a million times, and i totally
get what he's doing. But on some systems, it just gets agonizing on the
ears.
they are really not so accurate as you hoped they would be... and when you
even try to correct things, you get annoying remarks like not valid info
etc etc etc

I'd love to see Theo on a serious system. I don't think I ever have.
Just
small club stuff. He needs to play on a system where the low end can
have
the same impact as his crazy

Pardon me Mr. taylor, but I dont see how somebody who spams the list
daily with one or two quick sentences of over-simplified arrogant
generalizations has the guts to call the discogs website sh!t. Im
just one of the many free users and am not affiliated with the site by
any other means, but
i will say that theyve pushed through my recent comments within
hours. it seems like theyre really trying. i love discogs, i use
it daily.

I'd have to stand up for Discogs as well. They don't go out and track down
every release's information and input it themselves; they rely on the
contributors for accuracy but it doesn't always work out that way. I use it
as a reference, not an end all...
