I have done export/import of client data from AIX TSM to Windows TSM with no
problem.
I've also done export/import from AIX TSM to AIX TSM and had it FAIL because
the target server was downlevel.
I suspect it depends on how many changes have occurred to the DB structure

Possibly someone can tell us if it should work ... restore the database to

I reconfigured a logical library on a 3584 library with an extra
drive (going from 3 to 4 drives). Trying to add this drive
to TSM fails.
This is on an AIX 5.1 machine with tsm server 5.1.5.4.
The curent status is: drive0 element=261 device=/dev/rmt0
drive1 element=26
Yes, even though the tapes are supposed to be "pre-labled" TSM will put
a ADSM header on the tape. We always checkin new tapes using the "Label
Libvol" command with the checkin=yes parameter. Hope this helps.

Your window in which the schedule has to start is 5 days. Decrease it to for instance
5 minutes and it should start in a reasonable time period.
If you restart the scheduler from a command prompt (dsmc sched), you can see the
countdown until the schedule starts.

Yes as a result of the hardware problem. First cartrige is labeled ok. But
the umount of the volumes fails, because the gripper is not able to get the
cartridge out of the drive (to much forced needed).

hasn't crashed once, ( cross fingers)
It has about 35 clients backing up roughly 500 GB per night and 1,2 TB on
weekends. Client OS's are AIX, Novell, W2k with ba level from 4.2.x.x to
5.2.5.2.
