Hi all,
As mentioned by Gopal in his earlier mail, ARR won the best Music Director
Award at the Sunfeast Tamil Music Awards, held yesterday.
Director Shankar, actress Gautami and Shruti Hassan (kamal's daughter)
presented the award to ARR.
ARR started off by saying ella pugazhum iraivanukke

Also, Thotta Tharani won the award for best art direction for Vaaji Vaaji,
Shankar won the award for best conceptualisation of a song for Oru Koodai

Benny Dayal won the rising star singer award for Madhuraikku Pogadhedi...
And this was explicitly told by SPB himself in many occasions...

thought Jaane tu felt like bit stretched in terms of time and two more

The movie http://rutsum.com/jaane-tu-ya-jaane-na-review# turned out to be,
pretty surprisingly, a stunner. I know many people would differ with me
here, but I actually enjoyed the touch of
fantasyhttp://rutsum.com/jaane-tu-ya-jaane-na-review#.
More so because unlike typical Hindi romantic flicks,
nah bro.. thats not what i said... u would compare with arr songs
and say this piece is copied from this song and that piece from yet
another, while it is original... so i hope u get it now.
btw comparing any MD with any other MD is a bad idea .. not just
with arr.

I beg to differ. I think JTYJN was a big time disappoinment. The
movie was ok with some good hilarious scenes but it was clear that
the director has no understanding of making a song sequence. He just
wasted the songs. For example, Tu Bole starts at the very next scene
after Aditi song ends.
I second Durba here. The director didnt know when to use the songs.
Whats more surprising is , he himself was the lyricist. Strange !
Sometimes i just wish ARR composes for the yashs, karan johars, and the
bhansalis.
Agreed their movies usually suck, but they handle music so well.
