the date will be stored in the mangled form. So if you got an item with
dc.date.issue
space.content.DCDate @ Mangled date: 20??
Exception: java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "20??"
How does DSpace handle this error-- what happens to the date?
What do others do to represent unknown dates?

Hi Prabahar,
To add new metadata field, access admin page, and click on meta data
registry, then click on meta data schema registry, then enter the new meta data
field.
To make it searchable, you have to add the new field to the dspace search
index in dsapce config file

Dspace.log has all the logs like, the emails ids of the persons log
Hi All,
When you try to browse items by author, the files are not sorted by title.
Then if you click browse by date, that also not seem to work.
Is it a known bug? If so is there any fixes? I greatly appreciate your
suggestion.
