Hey guys,
I've had a problem for a while now that is driving me crazy. I've
got a Gateway Laptop, a 5300. It's a PIII-600, 192MB RAM and has a
DVD drive. It also refuses to install mandrake! The last release it
will install is 8.0r3. The final 8.0 release won't inst

'cdrecord*' isn't installed.

After the update, sound still works and I can play audio CDs, but xmms
won't play anything, while noatun just crashes.
I've got arts-2.1.2-4.mdk, alsas-2.2.17_0.5.9c-21mdk and

Are you using the "stock" RPM included with 8.0?

Actually on my machine, I have 3 hard drives and a CD-RW.
Since I have all 3 drives using UDMA, I have to disable DMA on the CD-RW
to get it to burn properly.
With DMA enabled I get all sorts of problems burning CD's.
With PIO it works fine...

OS: LM8.0 & LM7.2
Has anyone had any luck burning multisession discs? I can successfully
burn
them (at least Gcombust & Gtoaster says so), but I can only "see" the
first session and
none of the added ones when I mount the disc in the burner or my other CD
reader.
