As far as region specific, don't you specify what
language you speak when you install Steam?
I'm personally ticked off that they want us to look at
ads in a game which we have already paid for. A demo

Think about it, Valve get no revenue beyond the initial purchase price at the

Doubtful, knowing Valve if they were to implement
this, they are going to charge both for the games and
force ads down our throat. I just hope they don't go
for this retarded idea. The game was paid for, there
is no reason for us to have to deal with ads.

In game ads have already been done, and Valve is just following the

How about leave the advertisements out of paid for games and put advertising
into 3rd party mods. For creators to get revenue.
Advertise the mods on steam.
You want to help the modding community but also want revenue for yourself

Yeah, total BS.
Someone mentioned the ads will be client side. If so, the client should be able
to block the ads. Then of course Steam could make more money doing like Pay

So many games are going to this.
