Hi.
Go to the network icon on the system tray, guessing it shows no
available networks, maybe try right clicking the tray icon, can you
troubleshoot in there?

Hi.
This isn't what experience tells me, 2 gb will do ok with Windows 10 and
JAWS. I have a tablet with only 2 gb of ram and it runs well enough for
the tasks outlined. The more you have the better you are no doubt, but I
don't think I can agree that you have to have 4 gb to run Windows 10 as
Hi.
This machine will run windows 10 quite well spec wise. There may be
driver issues but as far as performance goes it should be no trouble at
all. Also, it will run JAWS fine but if you're just having a screen
reader for emergency sake you might keep it simple and just put NVdA on
that.
Hi. What's the bst free update driver software, that works with jaws. And
windows 10? Any ideas.
Marvin.

Hi Ed,
I personally think it would be a lot of trouble.
You don't have much ram for one.
You would have to upgrade to w-7 pro first.
Then upgrade to w-10.
I think with the lower prices for w-10 laptops now.
You would be better off buying her a new one with w-10 already installed.

If you press JAWS+Z more than once, you can turn it on, turn it on for all
applications, turn it off, and turn it off for all applications, in a

Hi Jason,
Take a look at the Word 2010 note below & see if it will help any. Also,
you might want to make a copy of any document you work with so you always
have a copy of the original before you make any changes.

Hi Ed,
Microsoft has a tool called the Compatibility Wizard or something like that,
you can run & it will tell you if your computer will work with Windows 10.
I'm sorry I'm so vague, but I know such a tool exists.
Take care.

It's the insert Z one. I'll be looking through an email or trying to read a

those are the minimum requirements. if you are planning to run JAWS and
other programs, you'd need at least 4 GB if not 8 for a smooth
experience. that applies with the other requirements as well. the more
the better.

Fortunately I do have Jaws 16 as well as 17, because 16 seems to behave better
