ding plugins for OJ, I make a new subfolder with the OpenJump
project and work from there so that I can use the workbench-properties.xml
file to load the plugins for me.

The layer should then turn multi-colored. You should be able to do
something very similar to hillshade.

Hi Carl,
Don't forget the geometry. You need to add something like:
fs.addAttribute("GEOMETRY", AttributeType.GEOMETRY);

It seems that there are currently only two paths to layers: Layer and
Layerable. Layer has been used for Geometry and Layerable (AFAIK) has been
used for image layers (WMS and SID). Either way you go, you will probably
be going where no one has gone before. If you are going to generate the

Hi Stefan,
I assume they meant "JMP" file instead of "JML".
I wasn't aware that image layers would save to the project file. I don't
think they did when they first appeared in JUMP 1.2. Althought SID layers

Memo field support is possible. It would require modification of the
ShapefileWriter code in com.vividsolutions.jump.io, or (even better)
creating a new driver that automatically writes out DBT files for fields
larger than 255 characters. Currently that code throws an exception

Fixing undershoots and overshoots for lines seems like one of the most
common and relatively easy to implement features that a GIS should have.
Can it be that we have overlooked this, or is it a JCS feature that hasn't
been ported over yet?
