My green 95 has same color interior and it looks good with the green. I think
it goes well with black too.
The clear coat is shot, will need to be taken down and resprayed. Mine is shot
too. Carwashes.

Looks halfway decent, though I'm not a big fan of light-colored interiors.
Wonder if the roof could be restored with buffing?

I don't mean to sound like an a hole, but if you really want a later S class,
sell some cars and go get one. It won't be inexpensive though.
If, over the next year you sold twenty cars for $1,500 each that would give you
30 grand. We'll say that every time you find a deal for a grand you exercise
You’ve got to be willing to pay well for a nice example, too. You’re not going
to get anything decent at Okie prices.

Yes that is usually the case with the ghetto cars.

Hmmm ok makes sense. I have wanted to buy a later 220 that is sorted, but they
all seem to be either ghetto or both. Also somewhat been looking for a 98-99
140 but same thing. I have only owned up to 94 on the 140. No s class past
that.

They've added some pics since I first saw the ad. Originally had just the first
three or four.
Looks like it has a few spots where rust is showing but doesn't look terribly
bad yet. Still, there's always more rust than you can see.

Yup. Naples, FL, home of lots of old rich white guys is a virtual candy store
when it comes to cars like this. In fact, there are a couple of dealers in that

Given this, what is a good source for an unmolested S class? Estate sales?
Retirement areas where old folks eventually sell cars because they can no

Hmm. How to state tactfully.
The urban demographic that tends to buy the S Class used tends to buy them to
bolster an image of a higher end lifestyle, whereas the E Cl
I would say that’s a pretty fair observation. I would agree that E class cars
are more likely to be bought and held for a while.

E class is more a buy and hold car, whereas the S class is a three year lease
and dump. After four or five owners they get pretty trashed. Usually by the
third owner maintenance, upkeep, and repair is out the window. The car is a
"status symbol" that gets no love. But that's my opinion, not nece
I have for the most part always preferred S class cars. Specially 126 and 140.
I have never owned anything 220 or newer. The reason for this is because it
seems like 140 and up S classes that are nice are hard to find. They are
usually ghettofied, beat to death etc. While this does happen with t

The ML550 sunroof has been non-functional since I bought it. I knew this at the
time, so no surprise. Not a big deal to me, but today more out of curiosity
than anything else I tore into it.
Found the motor unplugged. Hmm.
Plugged it in, tried to operate it. It tried to move, but wouldn’t go fu
