They are in the ends of the rear bumper cover on our Subaru. Since it uses
microwaves (RF) and the covers are plastic, they are hidden inside - you
can't see them from the outside.

Yep, the caustic cleaner for industrial use is around 1.5. So any
caustic cleaner would work. no need to pay $13-16 a quart. The last
one we used was way-vos from Birko corp. I always called it huevos,
and I suspect a lot of the amigos who use it also call it huevos.

I've got a cheapo Amazon one that I wouldn't recommend. Its too small for car
parts and doesn't seem to do all that much.
A friend has a real unit that was surplused out of a lab, his kicks ass, even
with straight water crud just drops right off.
