Each year since 1986, we have had the Chili Relleno Fest. A work associate
grabs a couple burlap sacks full of fresh Hatch green chilies from his hometown
in NM, we choose a weekend, we line up at least four grills and roast chilies
for hours. We choose the most choice of the roasted ones and

Cumulative doesn’t count. You gotta get it right the first time for it to count.
And I loved the autocorrect, too. Who would have ever thought air fryer and
lingerie could ever be in the same sentence?
I like that I can do stuffed jalapeño poppers in it under 10 minutes. A

I like that I can put in the air fryer oven some marinated fish, some sweet
potato, regular potato, Brussels sprouts, okra, whatever, turn it on, go take a
shower and come back to finished complete meal in less than 15min in one go. I
did some breaded shrimp in it a coupla weeks ago and it was

Yup, youngest son has an air fryer that we bought for him as a “housewarming”
gift. I’ve used it a number of times when I’ve been at Chez Penoff West and
found it to be a wonderful piece of kitchen equipment.

We have one, I chose it from the company Christmas gift list. It's very basic,
with a mechanical tick-tock timer.

I bought a toaster convec oven air fryer thing last year from Amazon “used” or
“return” or whatever but it came in a plain white box and was new. Mechanical
controls. Turns out this was a discontinued model, Costco have the newer
electronic version but same innards. Cuisinart I think. Toasts

Snap it off. I hear that's the way to go.

Yes, the set I have has the Torx and Hex with the holes for pins but
none that I have would fit. It appears that the pin on these Chinese
screws may be bigger than normal and thus the hole in the driver is not
big enough. It is difficult to really see down in the hole where they

I am quite happy with the clockwork Toastmaster 1B6 we've been using since 2015.
It was old when I got it, circa the 1930's, and I did a CLA on it and replaced
the cord.
Still works perfectly, and looks good too. Not bagel-friendly, though, as the
slot's narrow.

Happy Anmiversary!
I have a $19 toaster I bought at Lowes. Best toaster I ever had and that is the
truth. Some off-brand, not something they normally carry but they had them last
fall for Christmas shopping season.
I had a quartz element toaster before that, I want to say it was Krups but not
Those fasteners are likely “security Torx”. You can find the bits to fit them
just about anywhere that carries tools. Good idea to have a set, as they’re
pretty common these days.

We have been using a Breville toaster for several years but are becoming
disenchanted with Breville due to the failure of some other Breville
appliances.
The Breville is acting up and my wife bought an Oster but is unhappy
with it. It only wants to toast one side of the bread. Reading up on
