I think I had this same issue but got handled thru paid support. It had
something to do with my bandwidth accounting table growing to large. I could
truncate the table as a temp fix and it would run for about three days before
the issue would show up again. A fix was applied but don't know the
Not sure if I need to post this in the development forum but are you working on
support for ArubaOS CX switches? I'm demoing a set of switches and the CLI has
changed quite a bit. Even port configurations have went away from the
traditional tag and untag commands to vlan trunk and vlan access
Has anyone implemented Packetfence on Aruba wireless controllers running
ArubaOS 8.x? Newer AP lines appear to require 8.x and may be looking at an
upgrade in the future. Thanks.

I'm attempting to setup a custom Admin Role in the webgui under Configuration |
System Configuration | Admin Access. I cloned Node Manager into a new Admin
Role called Desktop Node Mgmt. When I try to restrict the "Allowed node
options" to specific roles my Admin users are unable to register a
Wanted to follow up on this and see if there is a way to add "no role" access
so I can create role limitations for admin users.

I found that by removing my select roles limitations and allowed all roles it
started working again. Seems brand new nodes that show up as unregistered start
with "no role." This is what was causing an issue and appearing read only. Is
there a way to allow "no role" access if you decide to
Has anyone experienced Read Only unregistered nodes in version 7.2.0? I made a
clone entry for "Node Manager" in Admin access. Only thing I changed is what
roles this Manager had access to. This Admin role when login sees these read
only records. Do I need to add an extra permission? Thanks.
I have been working off guides I am finding online. Been finding lots of
information about configuring from the guide below. Would I be able to see this
VSA in a debug or log?

I have my demo HPE Aruba 2930M switch now. So far data vlan seems ok but I'm
having issues with my Cisco VOIP Phones. The Packetfence log is throwing this
error over my phones.

Just reaching out to see if anyone has implemented Packetfence on a Cisco
Catalyst 9300 or 9400 model switch? This seems to be Cisco's new line that will
probably phase out 4500 and 6500 model switches.

E-Mail correspondence to and from this
de the Aruba switches were really new and there were bugs in
the Aruba OS.
Btw i think that it's fully supported by Clear Pass so it will work with
PacketFence.

I venture to say Aruba OS since they are Aruba switches but I know they also
were bought by HPE. I will double check with my vendor and see. I'm supposed to
get a demo set of switches to verify they will work before we made a larger
order.

I'm attempting this on Packetfence 7.2 on Cisco switches. Like Derek said I see
in Packetfence when you click on the node it can see that the switchport has
other active devices on the port. Appears the "authentication violation
replace" command that the Packetfence Network guide shows for
