It worked on all devices Radio, Boom an Duet. Now it does not work on
the latter two.
I went back and replicated what I was instructed to do, which got me up
and running before, to no avail.
Go back to the plugin's settings page and make sure the helper app is
running and you're logged in to

Hi - the menu tree was in the player, sorry. The times will all be out
as I'm based in Seattle with an 8 hour difference from UK/ Ireland and
they give local time - so R+M is 5am Seattle, 1pm in UK and Ireland.
As I say, its working now and I'm very happy with the fix.

If librespot could have 5 different instances (for the five Spotify
Family accounts) running on the same LMS, each with their own Spotify
login credentials, this would work.
With librespot I've been able to play three streams using one single
account. Oh, and playing on the phone's app at the s

Which devices is this menu - Browser or player ?

Hi - thanks for the observations, bpa. So here's a couple of things I
tried yesterday:
- Using the 'native' LMS on Synology, I tried to get the iPlayer addon
working and it would not work with either its original version, the
updated version (1.5.4), or by changing the stream preferences to DASH

I think this is really a BBCiplayer problem and would be best solved on
BBCipLayer thread
Thanks Martin! Was worried that we might have been locked to
v1.3.1alpha3 for the LmsRepack for some reason and wanted to ask first
rather than do some non-reversible update.
But! I updated to the latest version of iPlayer using bpa's repo:

Thanks PasTim, DaveCheltenham - I hadn't seen the Synology thread and
didn't know there was such a thing as the repack. I'll continue this

Now we're getting there :)
I did some more tests. First of all, I had "Always use Helper
Application for Streaming" activated in the SPH settings of LMS.
Unchecking this option gave the following results:
My Setup for test#1:
account#1 - boom
account#1 - duet
account#1 - SPH plugin
account#2 -
@Michael: Can you confirm this?
I think it makes sense: SB Radio/Touch can use idividual accounts. But
all other players which depend on SPH or Triode's plugin share the same
account, which likely is shared with one of the other devices, too.
What platform are you running your LMS on?

Michael,
just a short note to tell you everything is working fine now. I have
deleted the spotify app from mysb.com and reinstalled it again. Then I
was able to associate my spotify accounts to the various players without
a problem.
Works like a charm!
Sorry for creating a confusion.

Thanks for this tutorial and Ralphy for pointing me here ;-)
I successfully followed the steps described in post #1 to set up
Squeezelite via the command line.
In my case I installed Squeezelite on a WIN 8 notebook (LMS runs on my
NAS) and chose the ASIO driver of my external USB DAC (LHL GO2ASE
Rheinländer - could you please PM me your mysb.com account name? I'd
like to understand what is going wrong there. Thanks!

Thanks Michael for the reassurance that the problem was at my end -
which it was. Helper app not running, but it is now, and Spotify
playing. Yipee!
I will watch this forum for opinion as to what is best when it does
finally stop. Long live SB ..

Hi Tom
No problem. If you don't have one already, set up an Amazon Developer
account and PM me the email address you used. I'll then send you
invites.
- should Spotify still work via Triodes plugin
Yes. There have been reports about the playlist menu being slow, and
other intermittent issues, though.
- if so is it going to stop working at some point
Yes. Spotify says they were about to shut down systems used by Triode's
plugin (and SB R
Hi can someone please give me a summary/the big picture on what is
happening with Spotify, Triodes plugin and SB devices. There is so much
highly specific stuff in multiple threads that I cannot see the wood for
the trees.
I have multiple SB devices and have used Spotify via Triodes plugin for
