At least one of the developers has posted that bass and treble controls
are planned for a future firmware upgrade to the SB Radio. I don't have
any insider information, but I don't suspect it's a high priority right
now.

Are there any plans to add an equalizer, or even just basic bass/treble
adjustments, to the Radio? I know it's not intended to be an
audiophile-grade piece of equipment, but it'd be nice to at least have
simple adjustments.

Oh well, (as mentioned) it isnt too hard to memorize the buttons at
night.
Plus you can always buy a cheap LED battery powered night light to
flick on and off if need be.

If your SSID is hidden, this is a known bug:

SSID with no security issues.
If your SSID is not hidden, then I don't know...

Actually, I've now had my bedside Radio for about 2 months now, and I
can pretty much always find the buttons I need by touch, even in the
middle of the night. I understand that the backlit buttons are pretty
expensive, so I appreciate not having to pay the extra price for them.

Hi. I already own a squeezebox boom and liked it so much, I bought a
family member a Squeezebox Radio.
However, on the Boombox the keypad lights up, so you can see the
buttons at night, but the Squeezebox Radio's keys dont appear to
illuminate at all?
Is there a menu setting to get the button
Bear in mind you'll have to install the XM plugin first. On the Plugins
tab in the Server setting window scroll down to Other 3rd Party Plugins.
XM Radio should be the last one. Tick it off and click apply. That
should get things moving.

Thank you. Going through Kaspersky's settings and authorising all the
Squeezebox elements seems to have done the trick.
I suspect the issue my Duet is having stems from me using two
Squeezebox accounts. I rather think the Radio and the Duet on separate
ones, so if one bit of kit is happy the

Kaspersky! I should have known the Russians had something to do with
it, nobbling the BBC.
I have tried getting BBC through every available path and the result is
the same. The built-in app is the one that works least.
I am going to uninstall kaspersky and use Avira instead, see if that
help

my thoughts entirely! If the homeplug works with the Boom it should
work with the radio IMO. I have sort of proved it's the multiport switch
causing the issue as if I use a single port homeplug it works fine. The
error message really does make me think half duplex connections are not

If you have an iPhone or Android device there are apps to control your
Squeezebox devices.
iPeng for iPhone is probably the best.. the Android apps are not as
good and are very basic but they get the job done for me and are
open-source so if you know Java you can make it better.

I got my Squeezebox Radio for Christmas to replace my Squeezebox Boom
as my bedside radio and I have to say I am somewhat disappointed.
The sleep timer is not intuitive at all. It's well hidden in the
settings. Even adding it directly to the home screen is still not as
easy as the Boom.
Try goint to 'Settings', then 'Advanced', then 'Networking' and you
should see an option to go back to mysb.com. Under 'Settings' also look
at 'Home Menu' which will allow the relevant option to be added to the
top level menu to make the process a little quicker.

Have you contacted Logitech support? Personally I think it should "just

It sounds a little similar, except mine has no movement or control.
Power button I checked on MySqueezeBox, and couldn't find any reference
to the Radio there, and now I don't find any signs it is connecting to
my home network. I have tried it with a wired ethernet, and no signs it

What menu are you using to play the BBC - there are a number of ways and
different formats so there may be a choice of solutions.
The "no playlist found" error often happens only with BBC stations when
using a Windows based server with Kaspersky security s/w. Kaspersky
holds onto some of the net

My new SB Radio will play BBC Radio Ulster, RTE and music from the
house server but while the screen shows images from the BBC no sound
comes out. other channels show 'buffering x%' before playing but BBC
streams never get that far. Two factory resets have made no difference.
