Morning all,
Just to let you know that both my SB Radios are turning themselves Ooff
randomely too (always using the latest firmware); and I am not using any
of the alamrs mentionned above. All I use my radios for is to listen to
my MP3 (on my NAS) and to Internet Radios.
There is definitely a

I know that this is a duplicate post, but there are a number of places

All of the odd behavior that I reported in my prior posts has been

I have the same problem with my SqueezeBox Boom on 7.5.1. Once it goes
dim, it stays dim forever. I'm not sure if the light sensor is broken
or not, but I think it's a bug. I've gone to manual brightness in the
meantime.

I don't know. It sounds like one of those problems that requires
everything to be reset and reinstalled.

I got the same problems - my Radio worked when I bought it but now after
several upgrades it seems to have its own life. Turns on and off

No, tcutting, currently I do not use Squeezebox Server. Might do one

In 7.5.1 a WOL will be send to the server 5 minutes ahead of the alarm
so it might make sense to wait until it was released

If you mean a wiki or document based list of any/all stations available
to a SB player, no.
That would be impossible as there are many thousands of station
Do you not use squeezeboxserver at all? There is an option in
squeezeboxserver to synchronize to mysqueezebox.com, and that has
caused similar issues with presets dissapearing and changing. I don't
know if mysqueezebox.com has a similar setting.

Make sure the previous owner has deleted it from their MySB account.
If it didn't ask for your account info it may be connecting to the

Bought a used SBR a few days ago. When I turned it on I could easily
connect to my w-lan but it didn't connect to mysqueezebox.com.
When i read the manual it says that it should ask for my account, but
that did never happen.
Reset to factory settings didn't help either.

I have a problem that seems not to have been reported by anyone else so

each one and no matter in what order
- Preset No. 1, no matter how many times
It's still a rare use case to want/need to switch between wireless &
wired.
That said, you should not have to reenter your encryption passphrase
when switching back to wireless, assuming you are reconnecting to the
same previous WiFi.
It will ask for each detail (SSID, encryption type, passphrase

Just thoguht - does disabling sychriisation with mysb.com stio the

Yes. Often it will actually turn off if I'm in the middle of tuning to

Actually, I prefer a wire connection to a wireless on. Many reasons to
that:
- avoid interferences with neighborhood networks, microwaves ovens and
other devices...
- preserves bandwidth for applications that need wireless access and
cannot run without (for example SB Controlers, iPhone, netbooks

SB Classic,
You may have to logon to mysqueezebox.com and delete an old alarm.
Also, SB Server has an option to not sync with mysqueezebox.com in the
advanced settings. In general, liberating your SB Radio from
mysqueezebox.com in every way is good.
Here's how to change the fallback alarm:

Do you have an alarm timeout configured, or is the timeout=0. This can be
configured in SBS, not sure about MySB as I don't use that service.
I'm thinking that if the timeout isn't 0, that it might cause the audio to stop
thinking that an alarm had previously been started. If it is 0, it might
