I am developing a 2 meter thermal duration plane for myself and was
wondering what sort of wing construction people are using for EPP 2
meter planes. I imagin I will go with a polyhedral at first to keep
things simple. I am interested in spar types, trailing edge, etc.

Hi Guys
AL
You can go to Irrigation dealers and pick up 20" lowhead PVC pipe and end
caps. Glue one end cap on ( Front )and use a pin to hold the back cap on.
Slide your Bag Lady Wing Bags inside.. works killer install on the top of

Hello all
Thank you all for your patience with me in responding to your inquiries. I
tried to give the people that responded first extra time to decide if they
wanted the plane for sure. I have not purposely avoided anyone. I have
installed an old web cam and now have pics of the pla
If you don't think the Mantis is revolutionary, (and Tom K has won an awful
lot of contests including being the first to have his name on all the
trophies one person could at one time at Nats 2000)
It takes a lot more to both design and fly than it does to just fly.

The definition of the "Hall of Fame" requirements will have to be defined
before any real arguing could reasonably be done.
So, using my OWN DEFINITION of the requirements I'll throw caution to the
wind and dive in now. I think you need to be:
- A superlative pilot or,
- Contribute something

As there is no R/C soaring hall of fame and these lists are just peoples
opinions, what is there to argue about?

You've got to admit the Mantis has made a big
impact on soaring (as well as the fact he is a great flier and all around nice
guy)

Note that the main mote of my response was that the TRANSMITTER determined
channel assignments, and the refer4encxes were for example. This is
enough of this. We're taking too much bandwidth discussing symantics.

I measured the double snowboard SporTube at a length of 43.5 inches
when telescoped together as short as possible.
Incidentally, I recently purchased a double snowboard SporTube for $59.93

The cases at Home Depot etc... (at least the ones I looked at) are not really
aluminum. They are a cheap masonite type construction
with a simulated aluminum covering. I'll bet it is really plastic. I guess a little
acetone and we would know for sure!!
