(313) Cool music
Time for a proper post. With all the hubbub about henrik, this may have been mentioned and I missed it, but... HENRIK SCHWARZ B/W JU JU CHRISTIAN - jeff b/w feelgood - zeppelin the henrik schwarz track is bananas. Looping vocal, deep beats, subdued bass and a crescendo that gives me smiles. I coulda swore I heard a little whisper going Sunday, summetime, mojito's and you but it could've been me talking to myself :P . Checka. 2dawgs - it's a dawgs life - mood music (jori hulk and 2nd skin rmxs) The original is dope. One of the mixes (jori's I think) has this hollow drum sound in the beginning (pretty sure he just verbed the bass) that reminds me of insistent rhythm off fragile 03. dope. This ones the grover. The other mix is a stompin jacked up 4x4 electro-synth monster that starts like something on viewlexx and gets more frantic and louder as it progresses into... something... It would annoy the fxck outta me on the dancefloor. Happy hunting. Kamal K. Stoddard Turner Broadcasting Systems

The electronic music world is incredibly difficult to stay ahead of what a load of crap. I'm so sick of all this bull about the supposed oodles on genres and micro genres that spring up overnight that are meant to be so freaking hard to follow or comprehend. if it's good music, it's good music period. if something only has a shelf life of a week before it's 'uncool' it was never any good anyway. get a grip. and a better press release writer. you might be able to fool peeps who are constantly moving from one trendy bandwagon to another (big beat, breaks, whatever) but you CAN'T FOOL US heh btw I quite like 'closer to the edit' :^)

You see! This is what I was afraid of when my friend said that Detroit was trendy these days. It's not good I would *love* it, when progressive dj's would start playing (proper) detroit techno. Then finally I would be able to hear some good music on the radio, wich would be a good thing. Or wouldn't it? Besides, most of these new red planet records, for instance, really sound like trance. And that new octave one record sounded pretty progressive to my ears. Wich is NOT a good thing, though. :-) Cheers, Maarten

I agree with the complaint but not the argumentation. The if its good its good argument sounds a lot like the arguments so often used against popular music, ethnic music, race music (before it was named jazz), etc... according to my roommate mr peabody's is great.. Dancemania fans take note, supposedly they have the entire backstock left over from Barney's One Stop Records and most of it is sitting around on the floor waiting to be stocked. Anything you find in there is $8 or less I guess. Apparently lots of old classic Chicago jack tracks, booty and acid.
