questionhow many colors on the design? it's up to us. i know of one source that will do full color for $10.99. there may be others that will do fewer colors for less money, so you might want to create more than one version. --eric
Re: [313] 313 list t-shirt? discuss
At one point for Massive we did Baseball Jackets/windbreakers for da posse. You get alot more use out of em than tshirts and you dont have to deal with size extremes as much. Its a bit more money-but in the end its worth it. I went to a sporting goods store bought a regular baseball jacket, sent in and Matt had em printed up. just an idea Diana From: Eric Iverson [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: 313@hyperreal.org Subject: [313] 313 list t-shirt? discuss Date: Thu, 01 Jun 2000 22:52:51 -0400 while at the demf i hardly recognized anybody from the 313 list, and i figure others may be in the same boat. so how about a 313 list t-shirt so members can better recognize each other at such occasions? the design would probably be something simple and based around the text 313@hyperreal.org which list members would spot easily. i volunteer to do the leg work, unless someone else wants to. aspiring graphic artists on the list would submit designs for shirt front and back as low-res gifs/jpegs and i'll post them on a web site, take votes and tally them up. the winner(s) would then supply a high res image. the image would become property of the list members, not to be used for profit. the winning artist(s) would get bragging rights. as for production, i know of a web site that makes t-shirts, mugs and mousepads on an ad hoc basis. i won't mention the name yet because i don't want this post to possibly be interepreted as spam. anyway, this company charges a flat fee of $10.99 for t-shirts up to xl size. that's pretty reasonable for a full color design, front and back. there would be no extra markup as this is not meant to be a profit making venture. i am not associated with that company! if someone has other ideas for a production source, speak up. the t-shirts would be sold via the web, at a url given only to list members. i suppose this concept could be extended to mousepads and even mugs. also list members could use the artwork to make their own buttons or tags, or even make their own t-shirts. before proceeding with this, let's hear the pros and cons. --eric (sub'ed via digest) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

I think this list t-shirt idea is great. Here's one graphic designer willing to give it a try. Listmembers: give me some ideas for the design so i have something to start with.

mee-thod wrote: hmm. yeah i HATE big t-shirts, like 'em snug. they need to be a different style to fit the female form. when i mentioned up to xl size i meant that this company does smaller sizes, all the way down to kids-small, just no larger than adult xl. how about... *grin* doing transfers so we can choose wot we put them on? they are also lighter to post. mee-thod good idea. of course with the designs in the domain of list members, we could do with them wot we will. like buy transfer paper and print them up ourselves. Diana wrote At one point for Massive we did Baseball Jackets/windbreakers for da posse. does this mean there is an existing design available somewhere? --E

Well, since 313 is based off of Hyperreal's web site, maybe try browsing their site for some ideas as far as fonts and graphics? Something similiar in design might lend a sense of community I suppose. I would also think that maybe something representative of Detroit belongs on the shirt too... outline of the skyline along the Detroit River, something like that, heck, just something minor that wouldn't detract from the rest of the design but would add to it rather... the locals could probably provide quite a few better ideas than I could where that is concerned. :) Good luck and let us know when it's done, I'll take one. a picture of the 2030 building that submerge...that wouldn't take anything from the rest of the design...it would add to it since the building is in shambles. i thought it was abondoned when i drove by it the first 10 times i was looking for it that day. but i figured it out since it was the only building in the 2000 block. jeff Thou Shalt Remember the Funk and Keep It Holy -George Clinton -Original Message- From: Matthew L. i noticed the difficulty of recognizing 313-ers. i personally like the name stickers - Hi, My Name Is those might be appropriate given eminem's up-and-comedness. :P speaking of MM, maybe he could headline the hip hop lineup??
