i have a CD that was made in Belgium that is a compilation of techno from 97. It is called "A Rave Experience" it has lots of good detroit stuff on it, but the track i am curious about is the K-Hand remix of a group called the Party Crasher, or something like that. i can't remember the name of the track, but it has a vocal sample where a guy is saying "Your place, or mine, cummon" what i am wondering is if there is a copy of this floating around out there. What label is it on, and is it out of print. I would really like to get a copy of this and would pay good money for it. if someone has a copy of it feel free to e-mail me in private. jeff

Well if you think that 'Detroit History' is outstanding, you probably think that her other material is brilliant, personally i think that Detroit History is a horrible album and one of the worst Tresor records in a long time but i do love her early material on Acacia, especially the house stuff she did. Yeah, she's somewhat gone quiet in recent years. KH moments I'd recommend are 'Get Ready For the Darkness' (1997) LP (techno), 'Soul' on Ausfahrt (1999) (house). The entry on the 2002 Tresor comp is actually quite weak in comparison imo (it's from 'Detroit History' LP which again imo, is largely weak). Had an LP in 01 called 'Salsified' which was disappointing also. Haven't heard the recent 12". "Do It" (plus remixes) on Distance in 1999 was nice a slice of house. Like many many D artists, she's been overlooked for not particularly good reason. Perhaps being a somewhat difficult temperament hasn't helped. YES 'on a journey' is very cool. A range of styles, all very individual. The first track is a way cool strange deep electronic jungle breakbeat hybrid thing. Another track 'I can see' starts off with a hi nrg bass and gradually builds into one of the fonkiest synth / house/ rhythm fests you'll hear. 'come on now baby' from 'beyond the 3rd wave' comp. is hot too. Kelli is a great DJ too.

"Come On Now Baby" from the "Detroit: Beyond the Third Wave" comp is my favorite K Hand track ever. Really slamming dancefloor production and a gritty, nagging vocal hook. I've got some of her other stuff, including the new LP on Tresor, and haven't really heard anything I liked as much as that. Any suggestions on good K Hand stuff, perhaps in the vein of that track?
