Would suggest two  changes in your below message:

Let us not undermine the importance of Braille. Itw would be equally
important as learning computers.

Secondly, use the word screen reading software instead of jaws. Jaws is 
the

most expensive option. You can get the same work done using low cost
alternatives such as NVDA and Indo-NVDA or with Dolphin Supernova or  also
quite a lot with Windows Narrator.

Indo-NVDA will actually give you much better results than Jaws if you 
speak

about Indian languages.

Thus  use generic terms like screen reading software and provide options 
and

let people choose what works best for them.

You can surely think of getting such scanner called lexcam. This
scanner is manufactured by visionaid international and distributed by
Sparsh Products, Dehradun.

Although its not the standalone scanner, but it can easily be attached
to laptop even if you are in travel as its portable device.

i am using SUCH  product offered by THEM  called Readit
Scholar HD which has some more additional features offered by lexcam
for instance, scanning with A3 size and additional magnification
features for low vision. except these features, lexcam is perfectly
efficient to handle your needs to scan the pages up to a4 size paper.
also if you are individual user CONSIDERING ITS HUGE PRICE,  i would
not recommend you to go for Readit Scholar HD as its very expensive
but you may think of getting lexcam as even individual user.

all I need to do is to move the mouce over the document, overlapping
texts will be adjusted by the device itself.
then it will display the image of the page in an editable format. once
satisfied, I can save it in "word", "excell" or any other editable
format.
There are a few more options available there as well- share etc. But
the challenge here in Saving the Document image as the scanning
interface is neither read by JAWS nor NVDA, and moreover the system
gets unresponsive if I try to access the interface with JAWS or NVDA.
As I can't access the interface without JAWS or NVDA I feel that I
have to return the  device as it is not at all compatible with the
screen-reader and have to look for some stand alone reading machine
for reading printing reports, documents or books etc.
I found some portable scanner with Voice output but there multipage
reports, books etc can't be scanned. only single page document has to
be entered into the scanner.
I earnestly request your guidance at the earliest.

impacting the lives of a large number of visually impaired inGujarat.
On 29th January, 2017, thisorganization honoured Mr. Kaul with the
Louis Braille Award, consisting of acitation and a sum of Rs.10.00
(Rupees one lakh only) for his nearly fiftyyears of hard work and
tireless efforts towards the promotion of Braille in thecountry and at
the global level. While it is a befitting start of a year for aman who
has dedicated his entire life to the cause of the visually
impairedfacing untold hardships and a man who enters his fiftieth year
of his work forthe visually impaired and seventy-fifth year of his
life, the award would help toonce again validate the primacy and

He has an account in bank, using thumb impression he is operating the 
account.

As such he is using thumb impression, cheque book is not provided to him.
The same fellow has to surrender a policy of LIC.

Now!
LIC needs a canceled cheque book for doing NEFT in his account.
Branch can not give cheque book. He can not open an account with
signature because it may surely create problem in withdrawal of cash.

Waiting for your suggestion, how to surrender the policy?

apply online through the official website. The completely filled
application must reach to the respective address before 13 December

Selection procedure

The candidates will be shortlisted for the Paper-II on the basis of
their performance in Paper-I. Paper-II will only of qualifying nature.
The cut-offs in Paper-I and qualifying marks in Paper-II may be
different for vacancies in each State/UT will be fixed at the
discretion of the Commission.

Candidates for each State/UT will be finally selected based on their
performance in Paper-I, subject to their meeting basic qualifying
standards fixed in Paper-II. It i Provided that SC, ST, OBC and PH
candidates, are selected on their own merit without relaxed standards
and will not be adjusted against the reserved share of vacancies. Such
SC, ST, OBC and PH candidates will be accommodated against the
general/unreserved vacancies as per their position in the overall
Merit List.

The reserved vacancies will be filled up separately from amongst the
eligible SCs, STs, OBCs, and PH candidates which will, thus, comprise
of SC , ST, OBC and PH candidates who are lower in merit than the last
general candidate in merit list of unreserved category but otherwise
found suitable for appointment even by relaxed

Staff Selection Commission will conduct written examination for
Recruitment to the post of Multi Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff in
Different States and Union Territories 2014. The examination will be
conducted on 16 February 2014 and 23 February 2014.

and (Paper-II) descriptive type as shown below:

Syllabus

Paper-I

Questions on ‘General Intelligence and Reasoning’ will be non-verbal
considering the functions attached to the post. Questions on Numerical
Aptitude and General English will be simple, of a level that an
average matriculate will be in a position to answer comfortably.
Questions on General Awareness will be also of similar standard.

General Intelligence

It would include questions of non-verbal type. The test will include
questions on similarities and differences, space visualization,
problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,
discriminating observation, relationship concepts, figure
classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The
test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‘s
abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their
relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

English Language

Recently I created bank account in SBI bank and that is savings
account. And Sbi bank is very close to my home.
after that, it got activated on 14 of this month. But I didn't get any
notification from bank either or Email or sms. When I asked the bank
people, they told that my account is got activated and you will get
passbook, debit card and internet password through corriar.
But still I haven't received. I am getting same response from customer
care also.

another doubt is,
Since i am working IBM, they told me to create salary account. But the
account I created in SBI is savings account. Does it makes differense?

Waiting for experts suggestions in this regard.

i have installed klango player and created new account online. 
i am unable to use it.
i like to play audio and video files from hard disc. can anybody tell me 
shortcut keys : keys for   play, pause, stop , rewind , forward ,previous, 
next, and also key for opening file. 
i can't read help menu. 
the sound in klango is not comprehensive.
as suggested i have downloaded  espeak 1.39  but don't know how to install 
new voice to klango player ?
would any body help me in using klango player?

Dakota State University is happy to announce that its
Introduction to Computers Class is being taught online
this fall with one section specifically designed
for screen reader users. The class begins on
September 2 and runs for 15 weeks. Our staff is
making sure that the text will be accessible for
screen
reader users, users of Braille displays, and users of
Dragon Naturally Speaking with JAWS and J-Say.

The course is entitled Introduction to Computers.
It presents a brief introduction to personal
computers, along with Windows XP and Vista. The vast
majority of the course focuses on Office 2007.
Individuals who sign up for the class and do not
currently have Office 2007 installed will be able to
purchase
the program for $20 from DSU. I will be the
instructor, and I am a totally blind computer user who
has used the computer with assistive tech for over
20 years.

The cost for all distance education courses at Dakota
State is $219.55 per credit hour. Thus, this
three-credit course will cost $658.65. I know that,
in South Dakota, the rehabilitation agency for the
blind is willing to pay this tuition, and other state
agencies may be willing to do so as well, given
the fact that, to my knowledge, this is the only
course of its kind being offered with accessibility
for screen reader users in mind. We also welcome
students from outside the United States.

Students can either sign up for the course using our
on-line registration form or by calling our office at
800-641-4309. The student will want to identify
Keith Bundy's section as the one they are interested
in. The Course Prefix is CSC 105 and the SYN number is
24511.
