To the second and third points: you may want to consider CFJ 3478. ais523 
presents a cogent argument, as part of eir verdict, that it is possible to 
translate the relevant charter accurately enough to evaluate at least some 
actions’ appropriateness, and also an argument that some parts of a machine 
translation are ambiguous within the meaning of the rules. You might need to be 
more specific if you plan to object formally.

To the first: it is not obvious to me what is unclear about the original 
message.

Definitely worth a thesis!  This is a place where, without a single rules 
change,
technical progress may definitely change how difficult a task is over time. (if 
I'm
still allowed to judge CFJ 3471-3472, technical progress will definitely play a 
role).

It's also worth noting that, when I composed the below message, it was as hard
taking "Agoran English" terms of art and translating them into Turkish as it is 
to
come back again... so maybe I didn't write it correctly in the first place!   
The
sentence below wouldn't mean much to an average Turkish-speaker - would it make
sense to a different Agoran who spoke Turkish?  Dunno.  With machine translate, 
it
probably makes more sense to an English-only Agoran than it would to a 
non-Agoran
Turkish speaker...

If you follow the actual precedent, it actually *didn't* accept the 
Japanse-character nickname, but instead recommended transliteration:

However, that has faced a "soft overrule" in that everyone ignored it
and continued to use the Japanese characters.  And regardless, it goes
out of its way to mention that Registration is a special, lenient case.

No it hasn't.

It's been found true in a very limited way for nicknames and registration,
but for nicknames and registration we give much wider latitude than for
other legal matters.

But CFJ 1460 is still the guiding precedent, and has been cited in several
follow-up cases, and is still in operation.

CFJ 1460 is worth a read.  It's clearly-written on first principles, and 
fairly robust to ruleset changes of the last 15 years:

The only complication is whether advances in machine-translation have reached
the point where translations are so transparent as to be unambiguous, and as
seen by CFJ 3478, that generally hasn't happened.
