To comment on the following update, log in, then open the issue: http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=55714 Issue #:|55714 Summary:|New Database Field creation error Component:|Database access Version:|OOo 2.0 Platform:|All URL:| OS/Version:|Windows XP Status:|UNCONFIRMED Status whiteboard:| Keywords:| Resolution:| Issue type:|DEFECT Priority:|P3 Subcomponent:|none Assigned to:|dbaneedsconfirm Reported by:|mosesau --- Additional comments from [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Oct 9 23:58:03 -0700 2005 --- I have just installed the current OOo 2.0 release. I opened "Database" and started creating a new database and tables using the wizard. I created the table "Personal" "Plants" but, in step 4, I got the error ... "column size is required in statement [CREATE TABLE ." The offending fields were "Notes" (Memo [LONGVARCHAR], Length = 2147483647) and "Photo" (Image [LONVARBINARY], Length = 2147483647). Removing these, or changing their field type, allows me to create the table. I cannot find where to change the Length. If I remove these two fields, create the table, then edit the table to add the fields, then all is well. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. For example: ctrl-+ -> superscript ctrl-- -> subscript ctrl-K -> smallcaps ctrl-A -> allcaps default formatting should be ctrl + space, not shift space, I believe. I insert lots of hyperlinks and it would be good to have a hotkey for that. I no longer run word so I don't know what I'm missing, but Office is very popular and you will make it easy for people to transition over if you make it behave the same, especially in cases where you aren't using the hotkeys currently. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I am testing OpenOffice 2.0 RC1 on Windows 98. I will test on some more platforms shortly. I will attach a simple test case mdb file. It has a single table with two records. However, when the database is opened via the MS Access database connector, the first record's data is shown for both records, and attempting to edit the data gives the error 'Error updating the current record - the WHERE condition could not be created for the primary key'. If you click on the link next to the Priority field, you can see the criteria that apply to each level. I have attempted to reproduce the issue in OOo 2.0rc2 on WinXP SP2. I can reproduce the first part of the problem; Outline numbering does continue numbering after a paragraph break. This problem has in fact been previously reported as issue 53243. I cannot reproduce the second part of your problem. When I turn off numbering in the text paragraph, the numbering in the heading above is unaffected. I am going to close this issue and mark it as a duplicate of 53243. If you are still seeing the hebaviour described in the second part of your problem, perhaps you can re-post it as a new issue with a more detailed step-by-step and an example document. The extra information will hopefully enable a member of the QA team to reproduce it. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 53243 *** - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. The text-to-table conversion sees paragraph breaks, not line breaks, as row delimiters. As this isn't a defect, I am closing the issue. In the current version it is unavailable. Other contact databases (Mozilla, Thunderbird, etc) can be used so I assume somewhere in the transition from Ximian to Novell the contact was lost. As many Linux users use Evolution as their PIM, synchronizing with PDA's etc. the Evolution addressbook is kept up to date with other applications and is therefore very important. I hope this regression in behavior is corrected. In the userguide the next sentences are qouted verbatim: "Registering an AddressBook One of the many data sources in OpenOffice.org is an external addressbook. The contents of the data fields are then available, in fields and controls for example. An address book which may be already in use in the system environment is such a data source. For example, an LDAP server, Evolution or a Mozilla/Netscape address book." Per C99, the correct types are off_t and size_t, the former being 64-bit (usually) and the later -- 32-bits on 32-bit systems. The intptr-registry.diff replaces bad with bad -- printf expects one of the standard types (int, long, etc.), not an application type. The correct fix should be: -fprintf(stdout, " Data = %ld\n", (sal_Int32)value1); +fprintf(stdout, " Data = %ld\n", (long)value2); or, even: cout << " Data = " << value32 << endl; - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker. I want in Linux to approach hidden directories (directories starting with a dot (e.g. .evolution). However, the users guide doesn't give any information (neither Help). Is it not possible??. Than I think its value - for Linux users - is seriously diminished as many files (a.o. databases and address databases0 are most often stored in hidden directories. As Linux has a decent directory mechanism there must be an explicit switch, preferably in the options menu, to set the display of hidden files on or off. In my opinion it is a serious bug. You have to point the mouse over the selected area in OOo 2.0 to get the context-menu for the whole selection. [www-issues] Re: [Issue 55675] Insert 'note' in sheet, resize note arrows do not appear when the cursor is positioned over the little corner boxes that allow you to resize the box.
I probably click right on the cell, maybe 20% of the time out of habit. For every cell that I insert a note on I want the note to always be visible on the spreadsheet and on the final printout. To make the note permanently visible you click right on the cell and select [show note]. For the particular spreadsheet I use, which I complete every week I probably click right on a cell and select [show note] maybe 30 times. Because I do this so frequently sometimes I do it before I have actually inserted the note. This then triggers the bug as described. Of course I could also have been clicking right on the cell and selecting [format cells] or any of the other options. Just the mere fact of clicking right on the cell to view the menu will trigger the bug. I know how to get round the bug, (don't click right on the cell) however that's not really the point, the fact is clicking right on the cell, maybe formatting the cell then inserting the note should not cause the resizing arrows to vanish on the inserted note. This bug is 100% reproducible. Let me know if you need any further information. In RTL mode, this does not happen. As soon as the user releases the mouse after clicking the drop-down button, the list goes away. This can be very irritating to a user, who expects to able to choose from a drop-down list, only to find that the list has disappeared before he's had a chance to choose. If the UI language is changed to English, the behavior is correct. This is one of a number of issues concerning native-widgets in RTL, such as Issue 54929 and Issue 55077. - Please do not reply to this automatically generated notification from Issue Tracker.
